GOOD MORNING PODCAST NATION.

So I jacked up my foot…  While playing tennis with a friend, I back peddled for an overhead at the net, jumped, and when I landed my ankle rolled and slammed the top arch of my foot.

When I got home, my foot rapidly swelled up and the pain increased. I like to pretend I’m not getting old (36), but you can’t fight time.

I’ve been resting it as much as I can for the past few days, but haven’t gone full RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) as there are studies that show the Ice part might be counterproductive. The one saving grace was the CBD Relief Rub (PodcastVibes for a discount) I had on hand. I’m already of big fan of CBD-oil when my brain won’t shut-off and I can’t get to sleep. It’s impossible to prove anything and CBD claims span from valid to fanciful, but it certainly has cut down on the pain and I strongly believe it has helped in my recovery so far.

Hopefully I’ll be ready to begin my journey to the US Open after another week or so. OR, I’ll realize there is a fracture and join our friend Chris Williamson from Modern Wisdom in traction for a few weeks (he tore his Achilles right off playing Cricket).

 Stay well everyone!
